Can Quebec residents apply for the Canadian Experience Class?

The Canadian Experience Class is a category of the Express Entry program that is designed for individuals who have gained skilled work experience in Canada.

Since the province of Quebec has its own immigration policies, it can be confusing for Quebec residents to know if they qualify for the Canadian Experience Class or the Express Entry program.

Minimum Requirements

Here are the minimum requirements to meet the Canadian Experience Class :

  • Have gained at least 1 year of skilled work experience (NOC 0, A, B) in Canada within the last 3 years prior to submission of the application

  • Obtain language test results of at least CLB 7 (for NOC 0 or A) or CLB 6 (for NOC B)

  • Intent to reside outside the province of Quebec (must show proof)

Therefore, the answer is YES, Quebec residents and work experience gained in the province of Quebec is eligible for the Canadian Experience Class.
